When Rails starts, it should see if the user has not installed the pro rails plugin (but is a pro user) and should prompt the user for pro versions. Perhaps instead, the pro plugin should check to see if the user has not installed any optional pro features and prompt for installation then

Can we add a job to the intro plugin that checks the extensions to try and grab new pro plugins?

I added the job to the intro plugin. It runs 20 seconds after startup and will perform an update search for new pro features. If there are no new pro features it just does a no-op; otherwise it pops the update/install dialog just as it did when you entered a valid license on the license pref page.
