I was unable to reproduce this. I pasted it into an .rb file and tried to save and it let me know it couldn't in thecp1250 encoding I had. So I changed the file to UTF-8 encoding, pasted it into double quotes to make it a string and saved it, and re-opened it fine.

I have same problem.
After putting the japanese text (attached as error01.rb) to the ruby project, I can't open the file.
Aptana reports "Argument not valid" error (attached as error01.log).
The other hand, I can open a smilar file (attached as success01.rb) which includes shorter japanese text than error01.rb.

What encoding is the file you're pasting into? What about the file you are pasting from?

both UTF-8

torneco - 21/Mar/08 11:37 AM
I could reproduce this on both Windows Vista Japanse Edition and Mac OS X(10.5.2) Japanese Edition. And I checked my encoding is UTF-8 at Preference > General > Workspace > Text file encoding.
