Hello?
Hello Eric,
Sorry for the delay. Are you still getting these errors? Also, if you can attache your log files that would be great. 1) Help -> Aptana Help -> Studio Troubleshoot -> Studio Log File Regards,
Even after upping to 1.2.5, still the error.
Hello Eric,
Something doesn't seem quite right about your install. It looks as if you have a new version of Pro but an old version of Studio itself. Can you send me a listing of your plugins by: If you are in a hurry to get this fixed, you should be able to delete /Applications/Aptana Studio and literally re-install it. It should continue to use your licensing and workspace information. Thanks!
This is an Eclipse plugin, not standalone.
There is nothing under Applications/Aptana Studio on my system. Nothing under /Applications/Eclipse/ called applications either.
Hello Eric,
Sorry about that. 1) Go to Eclipse->About Eclipse Regards,
Am I getting resolution or should you be refunding my money?
I reverted back my config so it was at 1.22 since I get silence from support. Run the update from your live site. Now it tells me to install all the new items, but errors as "it does not contain the platform" Whatever that means. This is 3 weeks into this. Eric,
Would you be open to having one of our engineers 'remote desktop' to your computer to resolve the issue directly? If so, when both sides are ready,we can do a webex and then you can give us control of your machine and then we can go in an diagnose and fix the problem. Hi Eric,
Joelle was mistaken in her instructions, since you are not a Studio standalone user but have us plugged into Eclipse you'd need to re-install your Eclipse installation (to be equivalent to what she suggested). The dialog shown in issue.tiff shows that Eclipse already has a broken configuration in it's current state. The studio.log.rtf also has entries showing the SQL Tooling you have installed complaining about not being able to resolve two of Eclipse's core plugins. My guess is that somehow your Eclipse installation has become "corrupted". As mentioned earlier the brute force way to try and resolve is to re-install Eclipse and Studio into it (and whatever other plugins you use). Eclipse 3.4+ also has mechanisms for trying to rollback your configuration, so you might want to try rolling back first to see if you can get it back into a good state. As for what caused this issue, did it appear only after you updated Studio itself?
Hi Eric,
A quick question: When you originally installed Aptana Studio 1.2.4 plug-ins into Eclipse did you turn on the classic update? To turn on the Classic Update you have to use Preferences > General > Capabilities page and then select the Classic Update checbox. Then invoke the Help > Sotware Updates > Find and Install dialog. Then select Search for new features to install radio button and then add the Aptana Studio 1.2.4 update site. BTW these steps were required in Aptana Studio 1.2.4. In Aptana Studio 1.2.5 we introduced a mechanism that will not require the user to turn on the Classic update explicitly. That will be handled internally by our install (bootstrap) plug-in. Regards,
Another thing to try is to delete /Applications/eclipse/configuration directory and restart Eclipse to see if you're getting prompted for Studio update first before Pro.
