On the preferences, the code formatting preview make use of editor's customized color scheme but ignores customized color background (left it white). That means that if you're using a dark background, the preview can become illegible.

Fixed and will be released in 1.1.1 due out soon.

We just released Aptana Studio 1.1.1, which should contain a fix for your issue. Please update your current version to 1.1.1 and let us know if the problem is solved or not.

Seems that the fix reverted on Aptana Studio, build: 1.2.0.014500. I've got again white backgrounds here.
